Liberal Hypocrisy Files: Just Say No To “Fake Hate Crimes” August 26, 2009

Seeing the displays of political dissent against Obama portrayed by liberals as insincere and astroturfing gives me more reason to be thankful that I am no longer a Democrat. In making such accusations they are woefully guilty of collective amnesia concerning their own history of impassioned protest. The latest scandal involves a liberal who actually orchestrated a “fake hate crime” in order to have citizens believe the guilty party was anti-health care reform protesters.

Colorado GOP Calls for Apology After Democratic Office Vandalism

The chairman of the Colorado Republican Party is calling on his Democratic counterpart to apologize for suggesting that an act of vandalism at Democratic Party headquarters was linked to opposition to President Obama’s push for health care reform.

State GOP Chairman Dick Wadhams told he was “stunned” by comments made by Democratic Party Chairwoman Pat Waak following the smashing of 11 windows at the Democratic headquarters early Tuesday morning.

Waak told the Denver Post that the vandalism, allegedly carried out by a former Democratic canvasser and who left behind an anti-health care reformer poster, was “an effort on the other side to stir up hate.” After learning about alleged vandal’s political past, Waak told the newspaper that “there is a lot of rhetoric out there from both sides of the spectrum.”

“I was stunned by [Waak] actually suggesting the act of vandalism had something to do with opposition to Obama’s health care reform,” Wadhams told Wednesday. “That is unfair and inappropriate to say that anybody who opposes Obama’s health care plan is somehow responsible for this despicable act of vandalism.”

Wadhams called on Waak to apologize to “everyone, who in good faith, opposes the president’s health care proposal,” saying her assertion was “terribly” irresponsible.

Waak, meanwhile, told that the shattered windows were directly in front of posters depicting President Obama and health care reform.

“If you look at the windows, that’s where the major smashes were done,” Waak said Wednesday. “To us, that indicates this is about health care reform.”

Maurice Schwenkler, 24, was arrested in Denver on Tuesday in connection to the vandalism on charges of criminal mischief. The shattered windows will cost roughly $10,000 or more to replace.

The Post reported that Schwenkler was paid $500 in November 2008 to walk door-to-door in support of Democrat Mollie Cullom, a candidate for the state House. Campaign records also show Schwenkler was among dozens of canvassers paid by a political committee called the Colorado Citizens’ Coalition.

Schwenkler was also reportedly arrested in St. Paul, Minn., on the last day of the 2008 Republican convention on charges of unlawful assembly.

Denver Police say they have not identified a motive in the incident. A second suspect is still at large. No injuries were reported.

Republican David Balmer, who defeated Cullom, said he thought the vandals might have trying to make Republicans look bad.

“This sounds like the type of Democratic tactic from the left fringe trying to make Republicans look mean-spirited,” Balmer told the Denver Post. “In this case, it blew up in their face. He was caught red-handed.”

Ashley Todd, guilty of phony hate crime.

Ashley Todd, guilty of phony hate crime.

While you are bound not to hear as much about this in the mainstream media as say oh the story of Ashley Todd, the Republican race baiter from the 2008  presidential campaign season, it should be mentioned that staging fake hate crimes should be denounced by all political parties.

People have the constitutional right to assembly regardless of political affiliation. If conservatives are being more vocal than normal, I say it is about time and liberals you will just have to get over it. Your plan of demonizing anti-health care reform protesters is predictably backfiring. I dare any liberal to claim that each and every liberal protest we have seen throughout was without yelling, provocative signage,  or outlandish fringe party behavior.  Indeed, it is time to realize that not everyone is on board with Obamacare and they have the right to express dissension whether that be at a rally, protest march, or town hall meeting.

In this important debate, I was happy to see Senator John McCain (R-AZ) host a town hall meeting on health care reform. I have always respected John McCain as a politician that could see different sides of an issue. I felt that his town hall proceeded in a civil and orderly fashion. Part II is especially interesting.

Honey, Don’t Forget To Use Protection August 14, 2009

From The American Thinker

From The American Thinker

In case you may have noticed, my posts have been rather brief lately. I am away on business so not much time to write.

When I return to my hotel room, I do catch up on the news. At home I know which channel is which. FOX NEWS is the only news I can stomach. Here in a foreign cable channel land, Afrocity is fumbling with the remote control in an attempt to get the hell away from MSNBC. Sometimes I pause to hear Rachel Maddow say something so utterly stupid that I have to watch.  Of course she was covering the town hall meetings from the right wing nose bleed seats. On Wednesday she gave a chilling account of a loon who showed up in New Hampshire with a knife and gun in his truck during Obama’s visit. She then peppers her statements with inflammatory language like “assassination”.  This is what the right is encouraging she implies. We want someone to assasinate Barack Obama.  Shaking my head I flip to the Food Channel. Watching some chef julliene a kiwi fruit is better than watching this junk.

Did you see this headline???

MSNBC’s Ed Schultz Radio Show: Conservatives ‘Want Obama to Get Shot’

Give me a break. Don’t flatter yourselves.

The media will continue to play the race card again, and again and again. Meanwhile George W. Bush was the president who was actually assaulted with deadly footwear during a foreign press conference in 2008. Karl Rove was rescued from a Code Pink citizens arrest while he was on a public stage.

To date has anyone harmed one arugula leaf on Obama’s head??? No spit balls or paper airplanes carrying cyanide powder have flown his way.  Somehow the health care debate has again turned racist.  Call President Obama a socialist and that is equivalent to the “N” word. Accusations of socialism are now racist.  You didn’t say the “N” word but you certainly were thinking it when you called Obama a socialist.

Watch this town hall meeting held Thursday night by Sean Hannity.  Notice how it is mentioned that socialism is a strong word. You should also take notice of the crazy liberal Obamabot on the left.

Overall this was a good discussion. I was proud of Hannity for doing it. He had a fair amount of Obama and McCain supporters. Excluding the crazy woman, everyone seemed to have their heads on straight. It was also nice to see the African Americans in the audience were not drinking the race Kool Aid.  It gave me some hope that citizens are beginning to wise up and open their ears to what Obama is actually saying rather than bobble head nodding at the eloquence of his words.  Is Obama watching any of this? If so, the expats from Kool Aid Mountain had better use some protection against future brainwashing attempts. Something tells me that Barack Obama is not the type that is easy to break up with.

Mock Town Hall Mania: Hear Ye, Hear Ye My Ass August 12, 2009

Thank you President Obama for turning the town hall format of dialogue exchange into a joke.

Don’t fall for it. The politicians are not really there to listen to you.

There has been some debate over whether or not there is such an animal as political constituency influence.  If the animal does exist, what role does it play in congressional voting decisions?  We elect our congressmen and they get a ticket to Washington, DC , leaving us in the trenches.  “I will fight for you (insert name of sucker state like Pennsylvania)”.  Off  Mr. Smith goes to Washington never to be heard from again.

Now supposedly the Obama damage control machine is attempting create a facade of transparency and constituency awareness by giving voters the opportunity to speak their minds. Sounds like a good plan in theory but the problem is how can anyone speak their minds clearly and when they are out of their minds over mainstream media’s portrayal of them as being “out of their minds”?

There was a time when I wanted to attend a town hall meeting, especially during a presidential election. Now I would not attend one if you paid me- which Barack Obama would if I said nice things about him but that is another blog post.

rabbit 3The town hall meetings are a left wing set up to make conservatives look like racist morons.  On Tuesday, Arlen Specter (D-PA) was in Pennsylvania at a town hall debate.  Being the spineless former RINO now DINO that he is, Arlen Specter is shown jumping from question to question on the health care debate like a frightful little rabbit.  His constituency is portrayed as  angry rabid wolves ready to pounce and devour. Poor Arlen, look at the racist Republicans pounding him.

Don’t believe it for one minute. While the constituency is real, the impetus behind the sudden onslaught of town hall meetings is not.  The scared little bunny is not as meek as he seems.  He wants your sympathy. After all the people who voted for him are insane and unreasonable voters who actually thought they elected him to represent their values and concerns.

Deception is a tricky game. Where does a bunny hide? Some senators chose not to hold town hall meetings. Down the rabbit hole they went, on vacation during the August recess. Other bunnies decided to hide in plain sight. Sure I will hold a town hall meeting. The media will love watching the crowd churn me into mulligan stew. How dare they attack me?

As you can see Claire McCaskill (D-Missouri) “recovered” from this by adopting a condescending demeanor towards her constituents.

Bottom line: stay away from the town hall meetings. It is like putting a free plunger in the middle of a highway just so all of the rabid “Joe the Plumbers” will come running for the bait- only to be hit by a semi.
