A Mostly Center-Right Place For Those With Irritable Obama Syndrome and Diversity Fatigue

Bill Clinton: Great and Not So Great Moments In Politics April 20, 2010

It wasn’t until the Monica Lewinsky scandal that I realized my beloved President Bill Clinton was capable of being human.  He fell off of my Afrocity made pedestal like a ton of donkey manure.

This was a man that I campaigned for relentlessly, endured sexual harassment from Jesse Jackson staffers and voted for twice. From the moment he played the saxophone on the Arsenio Hall Show, I was in love.   I was also a twenty something liberal, lukewarm in her support of previous candidate Mike Dukakis and happy to vote for someone who gave her hope for change.

You see at the time I was voting with my heart not my head.  Liberalism is a low-yielding farm but it employs minorities and that was all I cared about.  Republicans help the rich. Democrats help the poor.  Got it.

Because I was there once, I understand the young people who voted for Obama.  Kids like Kool Aid.  It was the other demographic of seniors and middle aged that I did not understand.  Kids need a rockstar candidate and one decade’s rock star does not necessarily translate into another decades rock star as Bill Clinton soon learned  when he was campaigning for his wife presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton.

(Shudder) I hated that primary. That was when conversations about hatred and racism began to get ugly.

We were really hoping the race and hate monger cards would retire to the deck after the 2008 primary.  Unfortunately, they never did.  The cards continue to be played with more vitriol than ever, especially when it comes to the Tea Party movement.

From Obama, Biden, Gibbs, Pelosi, Reid and MSNBC, I would expect this sort of rumor mill talk.

From Bill Clinton, I would not.

Oh, Big Dawg.  Tea Party rhetoric leads to Timothy McVeigh-ish domestic terrorism acts of epic proportions?  NO.  Not you BC.  You President Clinton, of all people who was dragged through the Kool Aid flavored mud of Obama Island during the 2008 Democratic Primary along with your wife “Bros before Hoes”  Hillary and daughter “Pimping for Hillary”  Chelsea, I would think that you would be more open minded concerning the Tea Partiers.

Perhaps our former president has had a temporary memory lapse. He has not yet divorced himself from the liberal right to hype.

Allow me to kick Mr. Clinton back to reality.

Ah, see how lovingly demonstrative the left can be? Didn’t you just feel the love for Hillary?  Not one drop of hatred in the entire leftist bunch.  No dreadful “fringe” people.  And of course, PUMAs were embraced by all.

Terrible image of women being lynched on Anti-PUMA website

Listen up liberals!!! We all know the real deal. Remember I used to be one of you, so let’s not EVEN go there. I know the tricks in your government issued feed bags. Please stop the madness.

The question remains whether or not Bill Clinton actually believes his charge that the Tea Party can incite acts of domestic terrorism?

Really now, does this look like a potential Timothy McVeigh to you?

From I Own The

I am thinking (hoping…praying) a firm NO.  Hopefully he just chose the wrong words to show support for the Democrats.  Clinton could also simply say nothing but then again that has never been his strong suit.

Yes I still have a soft spot for the Big Dawg but I will not let him get away with anything just because I have always admired him.  I felt compelled to write this post because I truly am disappointed in his words concerning the Tea Party movement, especially when the shoe and the navy blue Gap dress have been on the other foot.

Political Effigies: Color Chart Determines Whether or Not They’re “Art” January 4, 2010

Effigy of Adolph Hitler

Just as I Afro-damus, predicted, “race” will be the word in 2010. Ah, liberal hypocrisy has made its appearance for the shiny new year as well. From

Obama Effigy Hung in Georgia Town
Large Black Doll on Noose Reportedly had Sign Bearing President’s Name in Jimmy Carter’s Hometown

(CBS)   The Secret Service is investigating after an effigy of President Obama was found hanging in the hometown of former President Jimmy Carter.

It was a disturbing reminder of another era, reports Tara Mergener of CBS News affiliate WALB-TV; a large black doll hanging by a noose from a building on main street.

It appeared right in front of a red white and blue sign that says, “Plains, Georgia. Home of Jimmy Carter our 39th president. According to a witness, the effigy had President Obama’s name on it.

Local residents worry this incident will give their town a bad name. But at least one prominent African American scholar says he’s far from surprised.

“I think there’s this notion that we’re in a post-racial period in America because of the election of the first African American president,” said Dr. Anthony Samad, an associate professor of African American studies. “However, this president has received more death threats than any other president in the history of America.”

The effigy was removed quickly but the image may remain in people’s minds for some time.

What’s the fuss all about? After all isn’t this just freedom of expression? Isn’t it “art”? Call me insensitive but I am just taking my cues from the liberals that said Chad Morrisette was expressing his right to freedom of expression when he hung a political Halloween effigy of then GOP VP Candidate Gov. Sarah Palin . Sarah Palin was just some gun toting female and even worse a Republican. Nope, no problem here.

The overlapping preoccupation liberals have with expressing freedom of speech and fighting racism and hate crimes seems to have come upon a stumbling block. My mother always used an expression that I hated but in adulthood I learned that it is very true…You can’t have your cake and eat it too.  The fight against racism, sexism, hate crimes etc will never be taken seriously unless the liberals cease the dynamics of inequality and hatred in the way they approach and define such situations. Take for instance the Rush Limbaugh chest pain drama which occurred on New Year’s Eve.  Wikipedia, a site which is more liberal than not, declared the conservative radio talk show host dead before he was even ….dead:

Rush Limbaugh accidentally declared dead by Wikipedia

December 31, 8:30 AMDallas TV Examiner-Matt Carter

Rush Limbaugh was hospitalized on Wednesday for “chest pains” in Hawaii, but the controversial radio host (who also had a syndicated TV show at one point) is not dead contrary to a post made by Wikipedia early Thursday morning. The commentator’s page was edited briefly to say that December 30, 2009 was the day of his death, but it has since been changed back to say that he is alive and recovering.

Rush Limbaugh has of course received his share of criticism in 2009, including a failed bid to be a part-owner of the St. Louis Rams. In addition, many of comments geared towards race has lead to mass criticism from numerous media outlets.

The mistake on Wikipedia can’t really be blamed on the site; rather, it was probably just done by someone trying to make a joke or asserting the power of free speech (even when it’s factually incorrect) over the internet.

If you saw some of the comments that I saw coming out of some of the liberals mouths, you would think that liberals were not so kind and “open-minded”.  Comments ranged from “die, Rush, die” to “God willed this.”   Then you have You Tube Videos like this:

The hypocrisy is evident.

Remember This??? This wasn't racism either. It was "art"

Had the comments and videos been about Barack Obama, these people would have been racists. If the effigy was Sarah Palin, George Bush, or Rush Limbaugh these people would be expressing freedom of speech.  Got it! Stay classy liberals.

Diversity Fatigue Friday: When It Comes To Hate Crimes, Bros Before Hoes November 13, 2009

Crickets from the mainstream media concerning Lionel McIntyre, an African American Columbia University professor of architecture who punch a female colleague in the face. I wonder why? Could it be because McIntyre’s faculty biography on his Columbia University web page reads as though he is the perfect champion of civil rights and equality?Could it be because he is African American?

From the mid-1960s to the mid-1970s, Professor McIntyre worked in civil rights and labor organizing in the deep South. His international experience began with travel abroad in 1972 as co-liaison for the first “People to People Friendship Delegation” to the People’s Republic of China and conducted a subsequent study tour in 1979…”Pl

Please do explain to me how the description above translates into his actions below:

By Dave Gibson

On Monday, New York City police arrested Lionel McIntyre, 59, an architecture professor at Columbia University, for punching a woman in the face, and slapping another man. The alleged attack took place the previous Friday night at Toast bar in Harlem. The woman, Camille Davis, who also works at Columbia University was left with a heavily bruised face, after taking what witnesses described as a closed-fisted punch in the face from McIntyre.Bar employee Richie Velez told the New York Post: “The punch was so loud, the kitchen workers in the back heard it over all the noise. I was on my way over when he punched Camille and she fell on top of me.”Waiter, Rob Dalton said: “It was a real sucker punch. Camille’s a great lady, always nice to everybody, and doesn’t deserve anything like this.”McIntyre, who is black was having an angry discussion about racial issues and in particular about so-called “white privilege,” with both of his alleged victims, who are white.

The man who McIntyre allegedly attacked, only wishes to be identified by his first name, Shannon, told the Post: “He knocked the glasses right off my face. The punch came out of nowhere. Mac was talking to us about white privilege and what I was doing about it — apparently I wasn’t doing enough.”

McIntyre reportedly had an argument with Davis a few weeks earlier over race. He has been charged with assault and was released without bail.

McIntyre told the Post that it was “a very unfortunate event.”

Ha Ha Obama

Why are the actions of Dr. Mcintyre not being explored as a hate crime? The facts clearly state  that this was not his first argument with Ms. Davis. Surely he harbored some anger towards her because she was white and privileged.

Here is a video response to the crime:

In October of this year,  President Obama signed expanded hate crimes legislation into law, explaining that the provision would “strengthen the protections against crimes based on the color of your skin, the faith in your heart, or the place of your birth.”

violence-diamondIn the United States federal law, defines a hate crime as one that is motivated by the victim’s race, color, religion or national origin….But says virtually nothing about gender..What about women?

Where are you NOW? Will someone please step up for Camille Davis.

Or does the left believe that she behaved “stupidly”?

Will Obama have a tea summit in order to mend fences between the two?

Of course Camille will have to pack on the Derma Blend in order to look presentable for his majesty.
